Living Your Values

Once you have selected your list of Values, answer the following questions:

1. Looking at your values, how do they make you feel? Do you feel good about them? Would you be happy to tell others about them? How would you describe your values?

2. What would a life based on these values look like to you?

For example, if peace is one of my values and was part of my life, I would spend time everyday in my office listening to music, meditating and contemplating life. Try to visualize this and see how it feels.

3. If your life is not currently reflecting your values, why not? What hinders you or prevents you from living a life true to your values? What excuses do you come up with?

4. Who do you need to become to create a life that does reflect your values?

-  Be more assertive with family – tell them I need some ‘me’ time

-  Believe that I deserve this time for myself to gain peace

5. What specifically can you do? Make a list of actions.

- Set up my office to make it a peaceful place

- Schedule the time in my diary

- Write an affirmation : “ I deserve to have some time everyday just for me.”
